A Polytrack training track was installed at Hawkesbury Race Club in July 2018. Greg Rudolph, CEO commented

Royal Randwick trainer Mark Newnham “Horses are comfortable from their first gallop on Polytrack, they take very even strides, and they are not getting unbalanced and fatiguing on it which can cause injuries." Royal Randwick Trainer John O’Shea said the Polytrack would greatly benefit horses, owners and trainers.

“Randwick has always been a very good training centre but now it is by far and away the best training centre in Australia. It has now got a top-of-the-range artificial surface that allows horses to work in any type of weather, and importantly more safely. This gives us an opportunity to work horses appropriately without having to trial on a regular basis which is a win-win for owners. “With the Polytrack you have the best and most safe surface to ensure your horses remain sound.”

The Melbourne Racing Club installed a Polytrack surface in January 2013. It has been universally accepted by all trainers and is the preferred surface for both slow and fast work. It has endured very wet conditions and extreme summer temperatures in excess of forty degrees Celsius and has presented an extremely forgiving and consistent surface regardless of climatic conditions. It has taken a huge workload off our turf tracks which has resulted in the economic benefits of reduced labor requirements. Overall the Martin Collins Polytrack is far superior to any other synthetic surface I have come across during my 25 years of Racecourse Management.

We are delighted with the Ecotrack on the five furlong canter down which is used as a route to the starts in the home straight and as the gallop for horses in the breeze-up section of Brightwells sales. The feedback from consignors and jockeys has been very positive and the surface is a big improvement on the woodchip surface that preceded it
